Last month, a large audience of students, faculty and fans were lucky enough to hear Walt Mossberg and Kara Swisher share their stories about their interviews with Bill Gates and Steve Jobs at their annual AllThingsD conference.
 
Today, Inside the Internet Garage is proud to premiere a short clip of that talk. Complete with some amazing vintage footage, courtesy of AllThingsD, of Bill Gates and Steve Jobs from the 80's, as well as moving footage from their only known joint interview ever, which occurred on the AllThingsD stage in 2007, this clip shows Kara and Walt telling the story of how they managed these two incredible personalities behind the scenes before that interview. These interviews can now be found on iTunes for free download, in memorium of Steve Jobs.
 
Next Tuesday INC@NYU will release our first episode of Inside the Internet Garage. The series features some of the Internet's most important historical figures reflecting on their personal and professional histories. The show represents the first of several initiatives that NYU Steinhardt's Department of Media Culture and Communication will take to catalyze news areas of scholarship about the profound impact of digital technologies on our world.
